Eco Printing creates prints of leaves, using the natural pigments, tannins and acids present in leaves, by combining them with mordants, moisture and heat on fabric or paper. Vancouver Island artist Jeanette Hawkes embellishes her eco prints with gold leaf.

Karen Poirier has put together lesson plans for teaching drawing and painting with drawings from former students. The exercises were developed for children aged eight to eleven years old with the intent of teaching them to draw what they see but with a twist.
