Art Gems - Silver Jewellery with Karen Schmidt-Humiski
Sat May 31, 10 am - 2pm
Karen is pleased to return and offer a silver metalworking workshop for beginners and more advanced skilled craftspeople. We will be using a variety of techniques and tools to create a set of earrings with a matching pendant. You are the designer and Karen will take you through the steps to create these unique pieces. We will be piercing, sawing, filing, sanding and finishing our pieces with earring hooks and a bail for the pendant- ready to hang on a chain. Excellent skills in application to a wide range of crafts.
Cost for this special workshop is $130 with all materials included
About the Instructor: Karen Schmidt Humiski, BFS Honours, B.Ed, VID, and Jewellery Arts Certificate Honours, taught a Jewellery and Metalsmithing Certificate Program in Manitoba for 30 years. She now is busy in her own studio creating a wide variety of fine art jewellery pieces for gallery and shows.
