Each candle is Raku fired, a Japanese method using smoke & fire to create unique effects. Each pot is filled with hand poured beeswax, soy wax & coloured crayon wax.  

Raku is a process originating in Japan. During a Raku firing, the clay and glazes are heated and colled very rapidly. They are removed from the kiln and plunged into bins of combustable materials to create a dazzling effect.

Each candle is wheel thrown then wood fired for one week in the Torzan kiln located in Cedar, BC. The glazed pot is filled with beeswax, Soy wax and crayon wax.
