Eco Printing creates prints of leaves, using the natural pigments, tannins and acids present in leaves, by combining them with mordants, moisture and heat on fabric or paper. Vancouver Island artist Jeanette Hawkes embellishes her eco prints with gold leaf.
Born in Port Alberni, Vancouver Island Adina moved to Venice, Italy where she studied art.  Upon her return to Canada she studied art and design at Vancouver Island University. She draws inspiration from her natural surroundings and Venetian architecture, working in acrylic, watercolour, charcoal and pencil.
