Feb 28 – Watercolour Sketching – Diane Micheline

While sketching a landscape, we will identify the non-essentials and discuss composition, light and shadow.  With a limited palette and ink pen, you’ll create sketches in a variety of formats go home with your own little sketchbook to take everywhere for daily play.

About the Instructor:  Born in Montreal, Diane studied at l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, The School of Art in Cape Cod and at the Art School of Haliburton.  A fly fishing angler, she is known worldwide for her paintings of fly fishing.  She now enjoys the calm and serenity of Nanoose Bay. A member of the IWS: International Watercolor Society she has participated at many international exhibitions. Diane was also a member of the American Watercolor Society and the Federation of Canadian Artists.  Here in Oceanside she received Second Place in 2 shows last year.
