Vancouver Island artist Elkie Mihie has been making pottery and teaching classes for 30 years. She is a member of the Arrowsmith Potters Guild and has exhibited in the Nanaimo Art Gallery as the featured artist.

She has been creating delightful fairy houses for the past 3 years. The houses are designed to burn incense and as the incense burns smoke funnels out of the house chimney. Sitting next to this house is a lighthouse which illuminates when a tea light is placed inside.

Each house takes 4-6 weeks to finish. It can be displayed outside but should be brought in before the first frost.
