Title of class: Alhambra Mosaic - Zentangle with Rhonda Roy
Date and time of class: Monday, May 30, 2022
Location of class: Studio
Maximum number of participants: 9
How would you like to create a mosaic like this on an Opus Tile? You pick the colours and the tangles and I’ll show you how. Like most things Zentangle, it’s way easier than it looks! You just need basic Zentangle (or Art Bites Zentangle) and you’re good to go.
Inspired by The Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain, you will create a Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) piece using tangles, fragments and enhancements. This class is being taught with permission from Marieke Sanchez, the creator of this stencil.
You’ll received an inked in stencil on a white Opus (10.5” square) tile. Together we’ll explore various tangles to fill in the lines and spaces. We’ll also work with Tombow Dual Brush pens and gelly roll pens to add some colour and depth.
You’ll be asked to provide your own materials, as you may want to finish this at home on your own. (However, if you plan to finish your tile in one day, I will have materials available for loan during class.)Inspired by The Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain, you will create a Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) piece using tangles, fragments and enhancements.
Recommended Prerequisite: Art Foundations-Zentangle, Zentangle Basics, or Art Bites-Zentangle is recommended.
Supply list will be provided upon registration
