The Rock the Park 2024 festival, hosted by the Parksville Beach Festival, and sponsored by Mid Island Co op, promises an electrifying celebration of classic rock and old-time rock 'n' roll. Taking place from August 9th to 11th at Parksville Community Park on Vancouver Island, this music extravaganza features an impressive lineup of tribute bands paying homage to iconic artists.
Some of the artists we will be paying tribute to include: The Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Shania Twain, The Chicks, Queen, Buddy Holly, Tragically Hip, Bon Jovi, Chicago, and the Beatles.
Friday, August 9th kicks off with Johnny Inappropriate, a high-energy dance/rock cover band. Next up is Spirit of Shania, a tribute to the legendary Shania Twain, led by the talented musician and songwriter Vivian Leigh. Following that, Bad Medicine delivers an authentic experience of Bon Jovi's hits, and Gaslighter pays tribute to The Chicks. Saturday features more incredible acts, including Nautical Disaster (a Tragically Hip tribute), Absolute Def Leppard, STICKY FINGERS (a Rolling Stones experience), and The Tribute (a celebration of The Beatles). The festival concludes on Sunday with West Coast Chicago, March Hare, and the sensational Absolute Queen from Tampa, Florida, delivering an authentic Queen live experience. Chairs will be available for rent: $5/day or $10/three-day weekend ~ or you are welcome to bring your own!
Wristbands are available for pickup at the McMillan Arts Centre OR at the gate box office. Please note that Wristbands must be picked up by the purchaser, showing valid identification.
Children 12 and under accompanied by a paid adult do not require wristbands.

PLEASE NOTE:
The Parksville Beach Festival Society is planning for liquor service provision at this event. Please note that concert goers are not allowed to bring alcohol or any other liquids into the venue and our team will screen for this at the entrance gate. Any prohibited items, including outside liquor, will be confiscated. As free potable water will be available on site attendees may however bring empty water bottles. There will be a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments available to purchase. We appreciate your cooperation.
Tickets and wrsitbands cannot be delivered. They can be picked up at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville, or at the event box office during the festival.
No refunds. You are welcome to gift your wristbands to other guests if you are unable to make the concert.
